PSEP - Phonic Smart Explorer’s Programme (Jr. KG)

The Explorer’s course is designed to teach the 42 letter sounds, along with its formation as suggested by Jolly Phonics. With this knowledge, children are taken through the method of blending the sounds of each letter to form words and simple sentences. An equal importance is given to “Phonemic awareness” in which children are taught to hear, identify and manipulate the smallest unit of sounds that can differentiate the meaning of a given word. This programme aims at enabling children to read pre – decodable as well as simple decodable readers.

PSFP - Phonic Smart Flyer’s Programme (Sr. KG)

The Flyer’s course is a level extension to the Explorer’s programme. It teaches children to spell and write words as suggested by Jolly Phonics. Children read for comprehension and added vocabulary. A shift in focus is observed from helping children to “read the lines” to actually help them read ‘between the lines.” This is done through various activities designed to develop your child’s “Higher Order Literacy Skills” to derive the real “value” in the information read by the child. Training to read age appropriate books, construction of simple sentences, writing words; phrases and sentences, picture composition, picture comprehension, rhyming words, blends, diagraphs, diphthongs, sight words, etc., are some of the important components of the programme.

GRACE Kids - Level 1 (Grade 1)

This programme introduces grammar concepts as needed in formal schools. Importance is given on building vocabulary and enriching comprehension skills using rudiments of grammar. Children continue to learn new spelling patterns (using new phonic sounds) that reinforces or builds their knowledge of words.
